Spanish, woven into the day.
Not a class — a daily presence. Native-speaking guides and the casual back-and-forth that builds real fluency.
A natural way to learn
Imagine a studio where children as young as three are joyfully chatting in Spanish — not because it's required, but because it feels natural. That's what's happening in our studios.
Children learn Spanish through everyday interactions with peers and guides, using the language in real conversations, games, and exploration. Adult guides gently model language and offer simple prompts, encouraging children to use Spanish comfortably without pressure.
Learning through living
One of the key ideas: language learning doesn't have to feel like a separate subject. It can be integrated into every part of the day. Whether they're building with blocks, painting, or asking for a snack — Spanish progressively becomes the language of choice.
We have learners who are truly bilingual and others who have never been exposed to Spanish. A learner-driven environment meets each child where they are and lets them progress according to their own level of effort and interest.
Older learners go further
For learners ages 6 and up, daily exposure deepens through adaptive tools, reading and writing practice, and ongoing conversation with native-speaking guides. They gain not just the language, but real cultural fluency.
Built with The Learning Quest
This program is implemented in partnership with The Learning Quest — a non-profit dedicated to researching and promoting alternative educational environments. Together we're pioneering this Spanish immersion approach, with plans to expand its impact.
By blending Montessori with a learner-driven environment, Acton Academy Falls Church is showing that language learning doesn't have to be a chore. For these learners, Spanish is becoming a natural, joyful part of everyday life — and that's worth celebrating.
